illbeseeingyou.

I need to escape the world for now, and come back when I'm ready to face this thing called life.
I wish I could fly away.

Next Post: A tag from the adorable Hannah.

Paints and pearls don't ordinarily go together, but today I was having fun with my camera today while cleaning my bedroom. Again, fun and cleaning, two things that don't go together. But I thought they turned out pretty cool so I'm sharing them.

My two favorite things: acrylics and jewelry!

M.I.A is fabulous!
I recently saw her video for "Paper Planes" and I instantly fell in love with her style.
How crazy is the dress in the seventh picture!

~ The Sky Is a Perfect Shade Of Blue ~

````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Today was a really long day. In the morning I had to take the ACT which took four hours. Kill me. Mom gave me the bracelet in this last picture and said its my "lucky bracelet." That was cute of her. While I was taking the test I would look down at it and it would give me a bit of confidence and make me smile. I'm going to wear it all the time now. After the ACT I came home and spray painted our outdoor furniture with my mom and gossiped about our crazy neighbors. Then she, my sister, and I took a walk around the neighborhood. It was absolutely gorgeous today! Everyone, I mean literally everyone, in every neighborhood was out. Tons of guys were out playing a game of basketball (yum), little kids were having fin running around in the playground and open fields, and old couples were playing tennis. I came home and watched Step Up 2 (better, in my opinion, then Step Up 1). And then fixed my sewing machine. I need to figure out what I'm going to sew as my first official big item of clothing, I have all these old clothes I can use the fabric for, so I'll probably think of something...(?) I'll let you know ( ;
I have this two-sided-pattern gold fabric (above) that I don't know what to do with but to use it as a skirt. And then I found an xxl red polo in my basement (above) from like the 80's and don't know what to do with that either. If you have any ideas I would love for you to share! I brought the leather bag (above as well) to my test taking place today. I like it a lot and I'm glad I found it. It was from when I was in about 5th grade I think. The huge black stone ring is from Forever21 if any of you were curious. And the pin on the leather bag is Andy Warhol. My hero of course.
I hope you all are having a great weekend. I'm pretty ecstatic because I'm off Monday! No reason, just a teacher in service or something. Oh and by the way I'm going to try to publish new posts every 2 days or so. Exciting, right! I really enjoy blogging and I think I get bored of my own blog when I haven't posted anything new for a while.
So stay tuned! ; p
All my love, as always,
Em.
Chills.
I don't know whats been up with me lately but I have been more, I guess you can say, bitchy maybe than usual. And I love being by myself. Its that weird? I guess it can be but I don't know if this is some kind of a crazy phase or the stress and annoyance levels of school are getting to me. But I have definitely been on the dark side more than the light usual. Therefore, I thought this post ought to reflect my mood. These pictures literally gave me chills the first time I saw them. And I'm pretty sure Will Govus is only 17 or 18 years of age. Marry me.
...................................................................................................................
Speaking of the dark side (wait for this, im going too make a really awkward transition) the musical,
Razia's Shadow, is an an epic tale of hope and love and the division of the light and dark worlds. This musical was created by Thomas Dutton from the band, Forgive Durden when the idea came to him in a dream. The story is vague, says Thomas Dutton as he explained it as "The first half is the creation and ultimate division of the world. The second half is the story of destined love and the world being reunited as one."
Thomas Dutton took the concept of a musical, a magnificent story, and utilized special guest vocalists perfectly. This musical has so much going on within it that it requires a good sit down at the computer with a cup of tea and a long read of what its about and the characters to understand it completely. This is the CD cover, it comes with all the lyrics to the songs so its easy to follow along with the story. wow. IM A DORK!
No, but its really awesome.
But the coolest part is the star-studded CAST. Its a collaboration of the best singers from many related bands. Among the outstanding cast members are Forgive Durden's fellow Fueled By Ramen (the label) artists: Brendan Urie of Panic At The Disco, Greta Salpeter of The Hush Sound, Dan Young of This Providence. All appearing alongside members of such bands as mewithoutYou, The Dear Hunter, Say Anything, Saves The Day, Gatsbys American Dream, Portugal. The Man, The Audition, Man In The Blue Van, The Matches, and An Angle.
I Go Ahead and Smile
I was recently tagged by Emily from Resplendent Tranquility to complete the 6 Things that Make Me Smile tag. Thank you, Emily! From one Emily to another, here are my 6.
6 Things That Make Emily Anne Smile:
1. Dancing around barefoot on an empty the beach at night when the sun is setting and the winds are whipping and all you need to wear is a big comfy sweater.
2. Watching people living out their dreams. Its an instant motivation booster.
3. Seeing my poppy's (my grandfather) face when I show him pieces of my art.
He's undoubtedly my biggest fan.
4. Buying my first piece of clothing for that season. I try it on in my room over and over again to get creative and inspired and to update my wardrobe as the weather changes.
5. Being told that your loved by someone. Just by screaming "love you!" down the hallway to friends is a short but sweet way to brighten the mood of the day
and anticipate seeing them after class.
6. Seeing other people smile. Other people's happiness and laughter makes me a happier person.
This post made me happier and I want to spread the love therefore I'm tagging these lovelies..
So sorry for being MIA lately, but I'm glad to be back into the bologosphere!!! Comments will be coming back shortly. Oh and I hope you like the new layout! I get easily bored with them and its a fun way to spend some time so expect it to change like every month. (And yes, I do have pearls on my head in my profile picture!)
Side Note: I know in number 3 of this post I mentioned my grandfather. He's an amazing, amazing person, but he was diagnosed will a dreadful disease called ALS, or "Lou Gehrig's Disease." I don't know what you're religious beliefs are but if you would just keep him and also my grandmother who is greatly affected by this in your thoughts or prayers I would be most grateful.
Another Side Note: Go to Perforated Dream Cloud a blog made by my very close friend. Even though she just started this blog, I am already intrigued by her posts. Kizzy is amazing and we can all learn something from her.
