Faded Life

Some inspiration for your brain to feed on. Basically, Im trying to make you go out shopping and spend your money....just kidding. Im salty cause I spent $40 yesterday on 5 t-shirts from Target. Gahhhh.

Got home yesterday from the shore so a post on those pictures is next.

Just recentley came upon this lovely lady Lou. This is a snippet of her style but I can see me wearing similar looks to what she wears. Plus she has bangin hair. I think maybe her hair is the second best accessory (her hats being the first!) to her outfits. ha!

The Need to Be Inspired

As you all know, blogging is fun, but sometimes can be work because you have to keep up with it so much. Lately I haven't had the drive to keep posting, which is so sad! I love blogging but I think what I really need is some inspiration. I miss you all and I am slowly but surely getting back into the blogosphere!

I really miss reading all your posts and the feeling of being a part of your lives you share on your blogs. You guys have become like friends away from home for me! I love you guys.

So I will be back, I promise :)

As for now, I love this months Teen Vogue featuring Taylor Momsen on the cover, shes so great! I can say I'm pretty inspired by her style. Except the rosary around the neck (first pic)...that's kinda like a no no (its a bit sac religious) and shes a catholic too i think. Ehh, its all up for interpretation i guess.

Trend: South of the Border Summer

My sister came home from the flea market today and showed me the items that she bought. Among the leather belt, silver ring, and peace sign bracelet was a tribal-looking necklace with wooden beads and white stones. This got me thinking and I realize that now, more than ever, I am seeing tribal inspired accessories everywhere. On jewelry handbags, and even on peoples feet.

I'm not sure where this south of the border wave came from, but I'm more than willing to grab my surfboard (tribal-inspired of course) and join these designers. In my opinion, quite a few people are afraid of color, and this trend inspires people to be more daring with there accessories and broaden the hues of their wardrobes.

Take Teen Vouges recent fashion spreads for example. Almost more than three of their spreads that have been seen in Teen Vouge relating to this summer have had some kind of tribal-feel to the oufits and even the design of the spread. Here are a few pictures from one of their spreads. Notice the crazy array of colors and patterns. I dont think the fashion experts at Teen Vouge were concerned about the reality of people actually wearing these exact outfits than the point they were trying to make in these pictures. I think the message came across. Color. Get some of that color and patterns going on in your wardrobe and you cant go wrong!

My latest inspiration! She proves that less is more. Her simplicity and carefree vibe is what makes her stunning. I am going to a party tonight, and I think I might lay off the jewelry for a fresher look.

Some of my favorite pictures from various blogs and fashion web spots that I'm just totally in love with.

I been tied up with school as usual. And I still have not got my mom anything for mothers day yet! I might make her a card. I always love making gifts for people over buying them. And I'm sure most of you can agree with me on that, its just more special and personal.

I also though about donating money to Trees For the Future and have trees planted in my moms name. That would be something cute that's also helping the environment.
