Betsey Johnson and Chantal Bacon

“I went into business the year that the working
woman’s wardrobe and shoulder pads were really in
and really powerful, but my inspiration was Danskin
leotards. Then came Jane Fonda running down the
street. It was like, ‘Wooo! Hallelujah!’”

When asked which of these Betsy considers most important -- sex, laughter, music or fashion -- she answered, "All of them!
It's a miracle. I have all of them!
But not marriage.
I won't do that again. Lovers? Yes!"

Congrats to 30 years of hot pink fabulousness!

my winter to spring transition outfit

(romper and sunglasses, Topshop; jacket, Urban Outfitters; boots, Doc Martens; bag, Eruca; heart clips, Cherry Red Boutique; socks, Sockwizard; bunny ring, Kabiri, block ring, Red Plastic Factory)

...or at least what i would put together. The only problem is that I'm lacking a couple of these pieces in my wardrobe. But I'd rather make my own clothes than buy them. Isn't it just so much more satisfying!? Rompers are really popular right now, and I find myself craving for one. I think I might go to the fabric store soon and make one. I cant wait for Spring!

Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post. I thought about it and I think I'm pretty solid for now as to the direction I'm going with Like Lilly. Was it all just a me freaking out? Could have been. But knowing me, I'm sure there are more of those moments to come.

Yours Truly ;)

20nd
I went thrifting again on Friday with my friend Cari.
The coolest person ever.
I love earrings and all of these (except for the crazy gold beaded pair)
were all $1.00...so needless to say, we went crazy.
I also bought this pinkey ring. Its a witch with a little black cat.
21st
I went to the art exhibition today. It was interesting to see so many different pieces from every field of art. What I wore...
(jacket Billabong, cardigan Old Navy, belt unknown, scarf,
unknown, purple jeans Forever21, boots Payless Shoe Source)

I decided to take a silly picture.

I think we will end things on that note!
That raps up two days in the life of a different girl with a different mind.

SPRING is coming!

(dress Target; belt unknown; gladiators Target; cardigan Old Navy; ankle boots Payless ShoeSource; cowboy boots Target; nail polish Sally Hansen in Back Off)

hello sun.
sans makeup.
I love Spring, I can't wait for the warm air to start blowing in and I can wear my floral dresses and cowboy boots without tights. Floral dresses are some of my favorite items of clothing to buy. I hope you all like this three-tiered one I got from Tarshey.

Today was one of the best days I had in a really long time. It was just full of love and laughter and joy. I received good marks in my classes, and I'm even off for the rest of the week! Its fabulousness. Oh and I found out today that one of my drawings is going to be put in an Art Exhibition at a local University! This feels great because last night I was getting so down and felt like my art was becoming useless and now I feel 100% better and am totally reading to pick up my paintbrush/pencil/charcoal again!

AND! I'm getting my braces off April 28th! I'm going to throw a party I think. I mean I've had these train tracks in my mouth for 5 years! Its time for the train to leave the station.

My love to all of you!

where i pour my thoughts to you . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and a little more . . . . . . . . . .

The wonderful Hannah of Sixteen Going on Seventy... tagged me, well quite a bit ago, for the personal and cool Show Me Your Blog Spot.

The rules:
1. Once you are tagged, post a picture of where you blog.
2. Feel free to tell us a little about your space, or explain certain items in more detail. Or not.
3. Link back Daddy Likey's original post.
4. Tag five other bloggers to show their blog spots.
5. If you are tagged and do not participate, you will become allergic to cabbage.

My computer, of course. This is where I will do most of my blogging. My favorite parts of this room are the huge window and the black and white Ansel Adams photograph
above the computer.

Living Room. If I have my laptop, this is also where I will blog.
Very Country.

My mom bought hand painted candles at a Renaissance Fair. They really original and cool.

Some of my collection of books I have on my shelf. Most of them are Laurie Halse Anderson and Jerry Spinelli, both authors write the most intriguing books. The small white one is Manhunt by Janet Evanovich, which is a quirky love story that I adore.

Classics. We have our Gone With the Wind which is timeless, The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

Where I store my ever so colorful clothes and endless amounts of patterns. Also my shoes, which are at the bottom. As you can see, I really don't need that many pairs.

My desk where I throw my Nylon, Teen Vogue, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and more magazines and catalogs, my paints, and brochures from some of the best art schools in the U.S.

Also where I keep my laptop, and enjoy watching the sun peer through the window shades. A great place to let my mind wander.

My whole family is very environmentally conscious. My mom is also an environmental teacher.

My family also loves to cook. We try to stay true to our Sicilian heritage. My mom is the most amazing cook I will probably ever know.

Lastly, I don't know what I would do without my spiced teas. They instantly make me feel 100% more heather and happier. Nothing is better than a warm blanket and a really good hot cup of tea. I prefer Bengal Spice, or India Spice for when I need a boost of caffeine.

I tag: Whoever is in need of a post idea. And I don't want any of you to become allergic to cabbage.

Much Love to all of you. Sorry I was away for a bit, but I'm pretty sure I can resume with my regular routine of 2-a-day posting.
